The Dirty Terps are hosting the Indiana Hoosiers for their fifth Big Ten series of the 2026 season.
Maryland got swept in its previous Big Ten series against Ohio State this past weekend, but was able to bounce back by beating UMBC 11-0 on Tuesday and Navy 15-2 on Wednesday.
Indiana Hoosiers (13-19, 4-5 Big Ten)
Last Season
2025 was an above average year for the Hoosiers as they finished with an overall record of 32-24 and a Big Ten record of 16-14.
Indiana finished the season with a series win over in-state rival Purdue, and ended on a high note as the Hoosiers won their final game of the season, in the Big Ten tournament against Iowa.
This Season
The Hoosiers have so far taken a step back this season, as they’re currently six games under .500 for their overall record, and five games below .500 in conference play.
Notable down points include being swept by Oregon and #24 Nebraska this season, but the Hoosiers do have series wins over Minnesota and Rutgers.
Indiana is currently 14th in the Big Ten in standings and is 10th in conference for overall hitting.
Hitters to Watch
Infielder Jake Hanley is someone Maryland wants to keep its eye on. The sophomore currently has a batting average of .346 and has hit eight home runs on the season, while recording 32 RBIs.
Sophomore Hogan Denny is another name the Dirty Terps should know. Denny, who plays both catcher and outfield, is currently hitting at a batting average of .344, and batted in four RBIs in a single game earlier this season when Indiana played Vanderbilt.
Pitchers to Watch
Tony Neubeck, a lefthanded pitcher, is Indiana’s go to man when the Hoosiers need someone on the mound. Neubeck transferred to Indiana this past summer, and has experience as a graduate student. He also has a 3.79 ERA and his record is 3-3. Neubeck has pitched 38 innings throughout the season and has given up 17 runs and 36 hits.
Freshman Ivan Mastalski, is another pitcher whose arm Indiana relies heavily on. Despite only being a first year student, Mastalski has appeared in eight games for the Hoosiers, has pitched 24 innings, and has a 3.38 ERA. Mastalski has also only given up 11 runs and 23 hits for Indiana.
Probable Pitchers
Andrew Koshy vs. Jackson Yarberry
Evan Smith vs. Tony Neubeck

Other Notable Points
Maryland has yet to win a series against a Big Ten opponent this season and is desperate for its first one. Meanwhile, Indiana is eager to get back to a winning record. Both teams have high stakes in the series this weekend.
