Shipley Field Construction Update

A lot has changed in the last two months inside Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium. Thanks to a lot of hard work and some excellent weather the stadium construction is coming along quite nicely. In addition to redoing the turf on the infield, and extending the artificial surface to the outfield, the bullpen areas are the most notable upgrade. While they remain in their original locations they are now fenced in and equipped with three rubbers. However, with the new setup, there is a lot less foul territory down the lines.

Check back with us for more on the Shipley Field renovations and all things Maryland baseball as we get you set for the 2016 season. Believe it or not Opening Day is exactly two months away!

Happy Holidays from our family to yours!
