After dropping two of three over the weekend to High Point to fall back to .500 on the season, the Terrapins (14-14) remain unranked. Their Friday loss snapped a modest three-game winning streak that included a midweek home-and-home series sweep of VCU. Maryland has not been ranked yet this season.
This week, the Terps travel to Lynchburg Tuesday to play Liberty for the second time this year; Maryland won the first matchup, 10-9. They return home Wednesday to face off against the James Madison Dukes for the first time this season before hosting Ohio State (19-7-1) this weekend in their first home conference series of the year.
Maryland did not receive votes in any polls, and none of the teams they will face this upcoming week are ranked. Ohio State received votes in the NCBWA poll. Michigan (25 D1 Baseball, 21 NCBWA) is the only ranked Big Ten team, although Michigan State and Nebraska received votes in both polls.
