The Terrapins (21-18, 7-5 Big 10) enter the week following a series win over the Purdue Boilermakers in College Park, Maryland. The Terps dropped Friday’s series opener, but rebounded to win the next two games over the weekend.
This week, the Terps travel south to Harrisonburg, Virginia for a Tuesday night matchup against James Madison (17-23, 7-8 CAA) and a trip to University Park, Pennsylvania this weekend to play Penn State (24-17, 9-6 Big 10).
The Terps remain unranked and dropped 22 spots in RPI in the latest polls. Neither of this week’s opponents are ranked. James Madison is number 193 in RPI, while Penn State is number 93.
Big 10 conference standings leaders Minnesota and Michigan are the only Big 10 teams to be ranked in any top-25 poll. Michigan State received votes in multiple polls.
