The Terps took on Illinois at home over the weekend, splitting a doubleheader on Saturday and losing Sunday’s game 5-4 after a weak offensive showing. However, the Terrapins still remain ahead of the Illini in the Big Ten conference standings in sixth place. The team also struggled to put runs on the board in their 4-1 midweek loss to the West Virginia University Mountaineers. This weekend the Terps will host Rutgers at home.
