About Nick: Nick Dunn burst onto the scene as a freshman in 2016, starting all 57 of the Terps’ games, and leading the team in average (.300), hits (68), doubles (16) and multi-hit games (15). His performance earned him numerous accolades, including CBN/Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, Third Team All-Big Ten, and Big Ten All-Freshman Team. He carried his success into the Cape Cod League over the summer, where he made an All-Star appearance and finished in the top ten in the league in average, hits, RBI, and runs scored. In the fall, Perfect Game ranked him as the No. 63 college prospect in the class of 2018. Dunn was a two-sport athlete in high school, playing second base in baseball and wide receiver and cornerback in football. His senior season on the diamond was a prequel to his success at Maryland, as he did not strike out all season en route to being named the 2015 Heartland Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
