About Kevin: After splitting time his freshman year (24 starts, .183 average), first baseman Kevin Biondic came on strong in his sophomore campaign last spring, appearing in every game. He ranked second on the team in average (.278), OBP (.377) and doubles (10). His 3-for-4, 2 RBI performance against Michigan State on May 21 helped the Terps qualify for the Big Ten tournament. Biondic lettered in two sports in high school, playing third base in baseball and goalie in hockey. He was named All-Catholic League twice in both sports, and was a two-time honorable mention all-state selection in baseball.
