About Barrett: Barrett Smith, along with fellow Terps freshman Tyler Blohm, was an integral part of an Archbishop Spalding team that won the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference Championship this spring. The freshman infielder put up gaudy numbers in his senior year of high school, and was named First Team All-Metro by the Baltimore Sun. However, an injury a year prior hampered his recruiting time, and he earned a spot on the Maryland roster as a walk-on this fall.
